Both the Spartans and Wolverines have been selected for the NCAA basketball tournament. For the Spartans, who had been lobbying for a number one seed, the announcement comes as a bit of a disappointment. For the Wolverines, admission to the tournament for the first time in 11 years is a sign of hope for a struggling program.
