It was announced that Chauncey Billups would sit earlier in the day. When I heard, I had to admit some nervousness, not that the Magic would win the series, but that we’d be goig to six or seven games. That was fortunately not the case. Flip Saunders deserves some credit for getting the right matchups at [...] The highlight of last night Pistons’ game is the first quarter injury to Chauncey Billups, who aggravated a hamstring muscle and didn’t return. Let’s hope he’s back for game four. Personally, I don’t see the Pistons doing much or going far without Chauncey. The Magic ended up winning this one 111-86, even after a second [...] I’m not going to get into coverage of the game, check out freep.com or sports.yahoo.com/nba for that. Happy to see that the Stones won this won, especially when they started to fade in the third. Does anyone else feel the pressure? From 8-10 last night, I was furiously flipping between FSN and TNT, trying to keep up on the Tigers and Pistons. For me, baseball is number four on my list of pro sports, right behind football and right above NASCAR. But this Tigers team is something else. The Tigers were great [...] The Pistons have officially flipped the switch, taking a 3-2 series lead last night. With the game being on NBA TV, I didn’t see it. Coverag talks about the Pistons turning things on and getting to business. My question is, how tired will they be by the time they actually finish this series? And how [...] Even after the Game 1 debacle, few of us thought the Pistons would be down 2-1 to this upstart 76ers team. I thought the series might go six games because, face it fans, these Pistons are not quite known for their ‘Goin’ to work” ethic these days. Sheed has been terrible and the guards not much [...] |
