The news ran an article yesterday covering Detroit’s status as the best sports town in America. This is something that’s come up many times over the past few years, especially as the economy in Michigan has declined. Living in LA for a few years, I can testify that I saw more Red Wings jerseys and bumper stickers than Kings or Ducks, even after Anaheim won the Stanley Cup. And it was the same for the Tigers, except possibly for the Yankees caps that seem to be everywhere (Do they sell them in Macy’s?).
